BUEHNENKONZERTE

STAGE CONCERTS

Right at the heart of the music.

Experience the Stefaniensaal organ not from the distance of the auditorium, but directly on stage – close to the instrument, close to the artist, close to the music. Stage concerts offer a unique perspective on the concert experience, revealing both visually and acoustically how sound is created.

Great works, major composers and personal insights come together in a focused hour of music. Gunther Rost brings central works of the organ repertoire to life while illuminating their musical structure through an immediate dialogue of performance and commentary.

SYMPHONIQUE

The current season is dedicated to the French symphonic organ tradition – the era in which the organ was reimagined as an orchestral concert instrument of symphonic dimension.

Featuring works by César Franck, Louis Vierne and Charles-Marie Widor, the series traces the development of this tradition from its beginnings to its great classical achievements.
